When someone close to us dies we usually go through a period of bereavement. This grieving process is very individual and people can often feel confused about their feelings, or wonder why they are not grieving as they expect to. Sometimes grief can get 'stuck' - for instance if the death was traumatic, or the relationship was particularly difficult. We can also experience a sense of loss and grief over the end of relationships, the loss of a job, or other major life events.
